Mimi Zulu is an American singer, lyricist, and poet. In a recording career that has spanned almost 20 years, Zulus repertoire has included: spoken word, jazz, soul, blues, hip hop, trip hop, psychedelic, electronica, funk, and R&B. ​​Mimi (the daughter of a carpenter and an artist) began her music career singing in local talent shows at the age of ten in her hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana.  By her late teens, she was singing in her own band and touring the midwest circuit.  Then, in 1997, the collaberation of F.U.Z.Z. was born. For the next 15 years Mimi, alongside many other incredible musicians, put together some of the most intriguing underground musical albums: "Zen Jai Qwa""F.U.Z.Z.""Overnight""Peace Of Mind""Group Mind""Tentacle" She now resides in San Diego, CA and has released her newest album "A Love Parade".  This collection of songs is an intimate look into the heart and soul of Mimi Zulu. Created in her underground basement studio, up comes an album full of texture and truth. Please enjoy the next chapter of this incredible journey of sound, experimentation, and pure Joy!
