The group was founded by guitarist/vocalist Adam Cuadra and lead guitarist Joey Meza, best friends since high school, in late 2006.They enlisted the aid of drummer Matt Clemens who wowed them with an ear-shattering drum solo, and an amazing bass player and friend Nikolai.The band name is a reference to Holden Caulfield of the best-selling novel The Catcher in the Rye.
