Luke Gray is a multi-talented instrumentalist who specializes in violin, upright and electric basses and Chapman Stick. He is able to play comfortably in all forms of classical, jazz, Celtic, country and rock music. Luke's musical career has brought him in touch with outstanding musicians such as Itzhak Perlman, Elizabeth Pitcairn, Laura Kobayashi, Barry Green, Glenn Dewey, Alexander Kordzaia, Anthony Maiello, Wade Beach, Greg Howard, Rob Martino, William Wassum, James Carroll, Doug Gately, Neil Casey and Eric Merienthal to name just a few. Luke has played with many phenomonal orchestras and bands such as the UMW Philharmonic, UMW Theatre Department, Winchester Symphony Orchestra, Virginia Medical Musical Orchestra, GMU Symphony, GMU Big Band, GMU Opera Deptartment, Fredericksburg Big Band, Fredericksburg Jazz Society, Moch Pryderi, Christian Youth Theatre, Rappahannock POPS Orchestra and Spotswood Symphony Orchestra. Luke enjoys playing in any environment. He has played in prestigious places such as the Kennedy Center and the Basilica. He also enjoys playing at smaller venues such as bars, restaurants, private parties and vineyards.  Luke also has several years of teaching experience, tutoring students of varying abilities, both young and old.He has taught at Potomac Arts Academy, Roberson's Music, Forte Music Studios, The Music Studio (in Stafford VA), and Creative Music Academy. His expertise also provides continuous employment with Spotsylvania and Stafford Public schools as well as Fredericksburg Academy and Fredericksburg Area Young Musicians. Luke's major musical influences include phenomonal musicians/composers such as Antoine Dufour, Andy Mckee, Victor Wooten, Bob Culbertson, Adam Nitti, Zander Zon, Marcus Miller, Joe Hisaishi, Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, David Garrett, Craig D'Andrea, Jaco Pastorius, The Piano Guys, Martin O'Donnell, Michael Salvatori, Jascha Heifetz, Mike Dawes, Calum Graham, Michael Manring, Masashi Hamauzu, Tom Griesgraber, Stu Hamm, David Tipton, Don Ross, Dimrain47, Michael Hedges, Hilary Hahn, Edgar Meyers, Leo Gosselin, Howard Shore, Joe Satriani, J.S. Bach, Eric Johnson, Arthur Grumiaux, Bela Fleck, Koji Kondo, Tal Wilkenfield and Nobuo Uematsu.
