Part Brooklyn, part Memphis–The Echo-Friendly produce a genuine brand of indie pop that is hard not to love. On-again-off- again couple Jake R. and Shannon E. emote a personal narrative, as their lead vocals blend seamlessly with the band’s steady percussion and distorted guitar. After the June debut of their hypnotic single “Same Mistakes” they grant us another head-bob-worthy tune “Boats”. -TWHP
