America Gospel is the genre-hopping solo project of The Republic of Wolves' singer/guitarist Gregg DellaRocca. His first single, "Bayonet", weaves an intricate web of folk, ambient, and indie rock, creating a sound that's quite literally decked out with all the bells and whistles. From its sleepy, poignant beginnings to its impassioned, convincing end, this is a song that constantly evolves in sound and thought, and does so in a way that's quietly hard-hitting. Spin its premiere right here, and look out for the forthcoming LP, Tall Tales Vol. 1, due out May 15.
