Senim Silla was born Ross Damion-Galen Rowe 20 August 1977 to Robert and Diania Rowe. Robert Rowe's enlistment in the Air Force forced the family to move frequently. Senim Silla attributes his ability to communicate with a diverse range of people to his constantly evolving peer group in his youth. After moving across the country, the family settled in Detroit, Michigan when Senim was 8 years old. Detroit introduced Senim to drugs, guns, violence and rap which he described as a loss of innocence. After living in Detroit for nearly 5 years, the Rowes moved to Pontiac, Michigan after Senim was robbed, an incident Senim cites on the song
