Honolulu based R&B singer/songwriter Brysen G may still be in his teens but he is already set for stardom. With a buzz already surrounding him, his debut CD, titled Grown, is set for release in Spring 2010. Brysen G started taking a strong interest in music during his sophomore year in high school shortly after his cousin landed a position as a guitar player for a national recording artist. Motivated, Brysen and his twin brother Byran began jamming songs on the uke and later on a beginner’s guitar that their mother bought for them at the local music store. The two sang together for a few years and entered several amateur talent contests. By age 16, Brysen discovered a love for R&B music that helped ignite a fuse in him to begin composing songs of his own and record them in a small home studio that he put together. Since then, Brysen has gained the respect of his peers and has attracted a large and dedicated fan-base after discovering his music on MySpace and YouTube. Brysen signed with Go Aloha Entertainment following his high school graduation in 2009 and entered the recording studio with producer/arranger Imua Garza (Rebel Souljahz, Kolohe Kai, Ten Feet) to produce his first project. The result is Brysen G’s debut release, Grown, packed with 12 all original compositions skillfully produced by the same Honolulu/Los Angeles production team that has already brought you such Billboard charting artists as Rebel Souljahz, Kolohe Kai and Opihi Pickers.The project opens big with the track “High On Your Love”, an upbeat number where Brysen sings about how his attraction to a girl gives him the ultimate natural high.Other highlights include the hard driving “Shawty You A Killa”, the smooth groove of “Fit Me Right” and the kick back mellow beat of “Label You My Girlfriend”. Also included is a the acoustic ballad, “Girl, You’re Looking Real Good”, the very first R&B song Brysen composed at the age of 16. Brysen’s debut album is titled Grown because Brysen feels his project represents a culmination of all he has learned from the age of 15 when he first started taking music seriously until the time he graduated from high school and entered music professionally.
