I constantly find myself flipping the pages of one or more hymnals looking for something to sing to God or to tell myself about Him. This album is a collection of some hymns that I've found in those times that have meant a lot to me. Every time I sing them I want to hear and respond to what they're saying with increasingly understanding ears of faith and a heart of gratitude.I've grown up in a more"modern" part of church culture, and for mostly worse, not better, I've seen hundreds of years of church history and ministries of past saints get thrown out with the cultural bathwater. Part of why I like to retune hymns is to try to recollect a beautiful part of God's work in his bride from ages past.
