Nice Friday is an alternative post Britpop band consists of 5 (five) persons, whom are Jay Naro (Vocal), Bima Aryanegara (Guitar), Naufal Andika (Bass), Yerikho Kaseger (Keyboard), and Deddy Djibrut (Drum).It was Bima and Naufal who initiated the band after their own band was not a success. Firstly, they met up with Deddy, to fill the drum position, and then as in search for a vocalist, a friend introduced them to Jay. The bands name (Nice Friday) was taken from the day the 4 members (plus an additional keyboardist) performed together on an outdoor gig, after the name was found, and it was Friday, 7th August 2009, Nice Friday was officially formed. Whilst promoting their songs and underwent several gigs, Bima asked his high school friend, Rikho, to fill the keys position. With Rikho on keys, Nice Friday was then officially consisted of 5 members, and the formation stays strong until today, and hopefully for good.Nice Friday chooses Post Britpop as the genre, not only because most of their influences came from similar genre, furthermore it represents every member musical personalities, in which the color of the sounds and the tone of the songs they create really match their intentions and expectations. Post Britpop puts its concerns on the quality and the various sound explorations, and deep-meaningful lyrics; and thats what Nice Friday tries to bring to Indonesian music Industry.Currently, Nice Friday has completed an album named Bukan Dewa which consists of ten songs, which are: -Angkuh-Alone-Berakhir Sudah-Bukan Dewa-Saat Aku Terjatuh-Like An Angel-Tanpamu-Try-Damaimu-Meraih Mimpi After went through a thorough survey that was done to various communities -including musicians and not-musicians societies-, Nice Friday officially chosen the song Berakhir Sudah as the first single, Bukan Dewa as the second, and Angkuh as the third single from the album Bukan Dewa, as they hope that the songs and the album will be well-accepted in the societies.Nice Friday offers a new sound and tone, yet still easy-listening and honest, to Indonesian Music Industry mainstreams. With a whole new characteristics, colors, and appearances, Nice Friday hopes that they will be able to make a fresh nuance and ambiance to in the Indonesian Music industry.
