We spent a whole lot of time just goofing around, then getting serious, then more goofing, and so on. These songs were a collection of old and new things I had written and presented to my writing and playing buddies. Choosing just 4 for the EP was difficult but I definitely think I made the right decision. I wanted a couple songs that portrayed and highlighted the creative lyrical content of my music and a couple deeply personal songs that were birthed by God's moving in my life. The musical composition and instrumentation in 3 of the songs were carried out better than I could have planned and the simplistic delivery of"Eyes Inside" really captured the essence of what I was trying to communicate. My time in the studio with these 4 really gave me the confidence and hope to accomplish a full length album with songs that I'm holding back in hopes to do even better.
