Seattle boys, Mark Locke and Matt Johnson have played in bands together for over 15 years. Throughout that time they always wanted to do their own thing which was turn their brains off, jam and create new music. 'Fake As Hollywood' is the result of that quick moving writing process. The only problem was with everything else they were involved in, the recordings took ten years to complete and release. Conceived and treated as the ultimate, low maintenance side project, NoWear Fast truly lived up to their name. With a mix of influences like, Aerosmith, Dire Straits, Jimi Hendrix, Sting and John Mayer, NoWear Fast blended their favorite artists into something they truly loved. Mark and Matt had many great players join in and jam over the years and when the record was finally being tracked, they had some help from some well known friends. Ian Crawford from Panic! At The Disco and The Cab lent his six-string talents to the songs"Fake as Hollywood" and"Apples" and blues rock great Ian Moore killed the extended solos on"Queen of Drama". A lot of time and heart went into making 'Fake As Hollywood' and it truly shows in the end.
