Monica Rivae was born again at a very young age at a church in Upper Tract, West Virginia where her grandfather pastors. She spent her life in church and sang her first solo at the age of two on the platform of her grandfather’s church. As Monica grew older she realized that God had placed a calling upon her life to sing and spread the good news of His gospel. Monica began to sing every Sunday at her home church at the age of 14. In June of 2000, when she was 15, Monica met with the Happy Goodmans and Vestal Goodman told Monica that God had called her and was going to use her. The very day Monica returned home from her trip she received a phone call from a church in her local area asking her to perform at their church. Phone calls began to come in asking Monica not only to sing in her home church, but in other churches in her area.
