Jesus, Churches and Bars
艺人:Josh Copp标签:流行语言:未知发行公司:Music and Entertainment Rights Licensing Independent Network Limited发布时间:2016-07-01Josh Copp’s father had classical guitar music in mind when he first started taking his seven year old son for guitar lessons. But it soon became clear that that wasn’t the kind of music that would fit Josh. So his father told the instructor to take Josh wherever he wanted to go, and the result was inspiring to see. By age 10 Josh was playing his guitar and singing in front of large crowds at church and in school. Country, Bluegrass, and Gospel were the types of music that gave him joy, and through which he began bringing joy to increasing audiences of people. Eventually, after graduating from High School in 1996, marrying the love of his life (Anna) in 2001, and having a son, Jeffrey in 2007, he and Anna bought an Amish Farm house together, and fashioned a recording studio in the summer kitchen. In that kitchen their bands, Huckleberry Blue and the Blue Bird Revival band, practiced and recorded songs for performance in churches, schools and bars. They gladly took the message of their music to any venue that welcomed them on the road and in their local community, attracting many loyal fans. Not content to just play music already written by other artists, Josh relished writing music of his own, such as: “God likes chicken pickin’,” “Lift Him Up,” “6th of October,” and “Country through and through.” All a part of his first solo album “God Likes Chicken Pickin’,”. For the last song he was a 13th Annual Independent Awards Vox Pop winner in 2014 (Country Category). Tragically he never got to know that he had won that award. He died of a sudden heart attack on April 14, 2014 in his own home at age 35. A terrible blow to family and friends! Obviously his charismatic presence as a person and a performer will always be missed, not only by his family and friends, but also by the world of music. There will be no newly written musical creations coming from Josh. But the music he wrote and performed and recorded, before his death, can continue to be enjoyed, thanks to that Amish Summer Kitchen, where it all came together. Please enjoy one of his last compilations of songs in this album “Jesus, Churches and Bars”!
