Their collaboration weaves a dreamy picture of whimsical travel on Celtic shores and is a perfect Sunday afternoon album for kicking back and relaxing to. What you in fact get with this release is two singer songwriters each producing 3 independent tracks that interweave to create a larger whole.The track listings and the tracks themselves take you on a journey from The Opening, through The Storm and on to St Kilda, the westernmost islands of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland and a place close to Andrew’s heart.The journey is largely acoustic guitar led with interludes of Trond’s tin whistle scattered throughout to jolly along proceedings. The strongest tracks seemed to highlight Trond’s strong lead vocal and Andrew’s superb harmonies in support. But equally on Northern Light Andrew’s haunting vocal and lyrics are dreamlike, a definite highlight. Overall, this EP is a good representation of the artists I had the pleasure to see live earlier this year and a most relaxing and evocative journey.
