The Life release debut album In ColourAfter supporting Evermore, Noiseworks and Choir Boys in 2009, electronic rock outfit TheLife are aiming to stamp their own mark on Australian music this year with the launch oftheir debut album In Colour.The band which is expecting to distribute the album nationally, has been three years in the making,playing at some of the scene’s premier venues.The Life frontman Michael Martin said the band has worked extremely hard developing its sound,but no more than the sweat that went into In Colour.“We’ve tried our best to make sure this album is a reflection of who we are and what we believe,and not something that is moulded fit the mainstream”, he said.“The amount of blood and sweat that’s gone into this is far beyond what we expected, but we’veloved every minute of it.”The album itself is uniquely orchestrated to incorporate ambient electronic sounds whilstmaintaining punching rock melodies that will enable the band to push the mainstream arena.Former Apollo Bay Music Festival General Manager and sound engineer Julian Davis said it’s oneof the best produced albums he’s heard from a Melbourne act in a long time.“I’m quite critical most of time… I was really impressed, not only with individual songs, but howmature the overall album is”, Davis said.“I’m quite excited for the guys, they have a lot of talent and are working hard in all the rightaspects.”The Life will launch their debut album In Colour Saturday 24th of April at Revolver Upstairs.Visit www.thelife.net.au for more information.
