Medeiros/Lucas are two islanders - singer Carlos Medeiros and producer Pedro Lucas - that depart from the Azores to travel the world with the Portuguese language on one hand and the will to experiment with it on the other. On their second LP, Terra do Corpo (Land of the Body), they were joined by another islander, the young wonder writer João Pedro Porto. Porto took in his hands the task of creating the words to be shaped into songs and sounds. Together they created a handful of tales that take the tensions of everyday life in a politically agitated and economically choked Portugal into a physical and sonic outburst.
