Few are the thrills that can compare with the discovery of an artist that only a select few have heard of, who travels beneath the mainstream radar, tugs at your heartstrings and makes you really feel something. Prepare to be thrilled as one such artist is Jolynn Daniel. Jolynn's musical journey began in Des Moines, Iowa as the child of hippie parents toting an extensive vinyl collection. She picked up a guitar at age 10 and quickly developed a solid affinity for songwriting, absorbing albums from Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Harry Nilsson, Laura Nyro, Karla Bonoff and others. In the late 80's, Jolynn's mother drove her from Iowa to New York City, dropping her off at Washington Square Park with a suitcase, a guitar and $300.00.
