Working together again on this latest project, produced a mix of soul, Motown, blues and a bit of the breezy Caribbean sound that was the signature of Joni's first album in 2011, Under the Canopy Tree. Caught in a Summer Storm, captures relationships with clever descriptive lyrics. The songs reflect moods playfully,capturing the light of the moon, falling rain, tides and the bright sun, to tell a picturesque story Joni likes to write. Beats and moods vary. A delightful mix, a fun Caribbean song in Tides, and the tragic song Angel's Fly Hero's. Still Waters was a fun adventure to sing a blues song for Joni, and Ben's instumentals on the songs caught all the feelings of stormy moods very nicely.
