WHAT LIES BENEATH - CD NUMBER 5! - In a break with my usual two year gestation period, here’s my fifth CD “What Lies Beneath” hot on the heels of last years “Chase The Sun”. Late 2007 and early 2008 found me in a prolific but reflective mood and here are the results. If you liked the last four CD’s you wont be disappointed, if you didn’t you will.1) RISING TIDEThis was the first track I wrote for the CD back in May 2007. It’s a mix of acoustic and electric guitars. A kind of Steve Oliver / Peter White meets Dave Gilmour / Thomas Blug. There’s even a bit of backward guitar on the outro.2) HEARTBREAKA simple short ballad inspired by the most excellent Paul Gilbert. It was written and recorded over two days on the 16th and 17th July 2008.3) I’M BEGGING YOUMyself and Cathy from Eclipse sing the phrase “I’m Begging You” ( ad nausea some may say).
