Anya Rose studied opera and music theory at Bard College, jazz in Bangor, Maine, and bluegrass in Orono. She has been a member of various bands and musical groups, and currently performs shows for all ages. Miss Rose is also a teacher and was privileged to try out some of her material on her third graders. They especially liked the song about her dad’s hat. Greatly influenced by Tom Lehrer as a child, Miss Rose’s songs are quirky, participatory, personal, and silly.Third Grade Testimony:“You taught us poetry and then turned it into music.
