We've been friends for almost 50 years. Frank (Lou's twin brother) moved from Jersey to Florida in the early 70's. We would go down for visits occasionally and he would put us up for a long weekend. One year, I think it was '97, we decided to make a cd dedicated to the trip and his hospitality. So for three months the three of us would meet up twice a week and record on a 4 track tape recorder. I had the same recorder and some of the recordings we made individually because we were running out of time. As the trip drew near we had to fill up the cd with various other love songs which we had previously written. The drums were expertly provided by Boss and Alesis drum machines. Guitars, vocals, and let's not forget the bongos, were all us, with a little help from Mike's daughter, Allison, on the background vocals. We got the name of the band from the front cover picture of us standing next to the sign where we used to cut through on our way to the beach. The name of the album is where Frank lives. For a first try at recording, mixing and mastering, it turned out alright. Mike calls it our 'Masterpiece'. We could have added a lot more and polished it up a bit if we had more time, but you know how it goes,' woulda, coulda, shoulda'. We made a booklet with pics, lyrics and a dedication, but I don't know if we could include that as part of the distribution. Why did we wait 13 years to do this? We wanted to see if it withstood the test of time, Ha, and we still like it, so here it is. Anyway, we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it. Play it loud.
