The album Ramankido aims to capture the spontaneity and freedom of duo improvisation. It was recorded in small houses in Sweden and Finland. A single stereo microphone was used. No additional tracks were added. Olli Strömberg plays the guitar, keyboard, piano, accordion and harmonica. Dag Strömberg, Olli's nephew, is playing a variety of flutes, such as low whistle, recorders and the traditional Swedish flute härjedalspipa.The title of the album is a tribute to Simon Jansson, member of the Nora baptist congregation in the 1950's. When speaking with tongues - the secret language between man and God - his initial word was always Ramankido.
