When I was about 4 years old, I received an album from my dad. I played that album every day, dancing and singing around the house. There were so many songs from that recording that influenced who I am today. I still sing those with children and they still enjoy them as much as I did. It was finally time for me to record those songs with an updated, Mar. twist to them. The title,"unFROGettable", revisits the many things Mr. Froggy has sung with the children over several years and albums. I listened to songs like"B I N G O" and thought hard on how to change that to something that was doing more than all the wonderful things it did. That is where"I Can Count and Singo" comes from. As studio time was passing, Mark and I began to get creative with styles because it is so important that children grow up exposed to and liking to listen to ALL kinds of music."Join in the Game" is a Reggae version of that song."Looby Loo", a Cajun version of that one."Name Song Games" morphs together several singing games like"John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt". And,"A Child in a Circle" is a non-competitive, age-appropriate spin on"The Farmer in the Dell". This CD is eligible for a Grammy nomination and we sure hope it gets one.
