Written over the course of five years (with ample respect paid to the 10+ more years that these 3 have been playing together), Vicissitudes is the culmination of these years of honing their individual talents as well as their songwriting craft. There's plenty of homages to Rush to be found within, and to a few more seminal progressive rock groups such as Genesis and King Crimson. Musical craftsmanship is valued highly, but does not take away from the lyrical content, which stays mostly in the down-to-earth realm of the personal.
