The Faretheewells' second collection of songs sounds like its been aged in a whiskey barrel, laced with honey, and then set on fire. They use seasoned songwriting, soulful melodies, intricate harmonies and a powder keg of energy to create a unique sound that casts genres to the wayside. Led by the songwriting of Ryan Chilton and the inventive, spirited playing of his 17-year-old multi-instrumentalist brother Shaun Chilton, The Faretheewells are driven home by the rhythm section duo of Jamie Chilton (wife/sister-in-law) on bass and Jodi Whitchurch (sister) on percussion, with all four performing vocals. The Missouri family band play off mud-stomped bluegrass and country-fried rock inspirations to create an original sound they like to call"Missouricana". This album is dedicated to the memory of our friend John Kerley, who played trumpet on the track Conversation Before a Fall and is currently first trumpet in the angel band.
