This collection of songs is typical of what you may hear from a Meridian live performance. Much of what you will hear on this CD aresongs that we play for Oriental Dance (Belly Dance) styles. This material has come to us through our teachers who have been too manyto list here but we must give mention to two women who have given us the most: that's Mimi Spencer (RIP) & Mary Ellen Donald from theS.F. Bay area. Meridian's goal is to play the music from these and other countries with true feeling and respect that would be appreciatedby Americans as well as natives of the regions mentioned above.
