By the time she was fifteen Jessica was traveling and doing ministry with her mother in the mother-daughter duo, PJ’s. In addition to leading services and concerts in local venues, they headlined for the Annual Kingdom Youth Conferences with Newsong, Age of Faith, and DC Talk; sang at the Life Focus Event at the Hampton Coliseum with Tony Evans; and performed at the Norfolk Scope. PJ’s debuted two singles, “Rescue Me” and “Get Up,” and while both songs received critical acclaim, their purpose was to raise money for efforts to help the impoverished communities in Hampton Roads. Prior to college Jessica had already been a featured soloist for a “Pepsi” commercial and used her voice to spread the gospel in many foreign countries.
