Civil Lies is considered to be the new discovery of the succesfull German producer Frank Bornemann. The band was in no way castet, but was discovered where successful music arise- on a small stage in a live club! The vocal performance of the Lead singer Sylvia and the creative diversity of the sound of her four guys have not only convinced the producer- the Band have signed a contract in 2006 with EMI Music Publishing in Hamburg with their first EP. The publisher gave the band the opportunity of recording their entire 1st Album in the legendary Horus Sound Studios in Hanover! Encouraged by the positive feedback from the music industry, they decide to go indie with the band in 2007. Their main aim is not to end up as a mass- product in the unitypot of the music industry and to be forgotten after they had their one hit wonder in the charts. They have opted to take the long road, which also gives them more freedom and self-determination for their future- musical- paths. With the young and innovative artist Station Records label from Hannover they have chosen the right partner for a future-oriented cooperation. Last but not least they only lacked a management and a booking agency, which they have, however, at the end of last year also found, so that nothing more stands in their way of a successful start in the music business. The band exceeds with the live performance by far the expectations of the people, who have only heard the Band from the radio and the Internet. In the past years they have played more than 100 concerts and they have also committed support to the following Bands- H-Blockx, Liquido, Madsen, 4Lyn, IO (formerly Guano Apes), Illegal 2001, Tamoto, Eat no Fish, Transmitters and the US bands Mother Tongue, Cake-Cutter and Slick Fitty.
