This Is It Forever is delighted to be able to bring the very first film score to the catalogue, in the shape of Thomas Ragsdale's all enveloping soundtrack to the 2012 zombie movie Before Dawn, the debut film from Dominic Brunt, who is perhaps more widely known as Paddy from TV's Emmerdale. A keen lover of horror movies, Brunt set out with his wife, Joanne Mitchell, to create what they'd both wanted to do for so long - a zombie movie with a difference. Centred around a slowly collapsing marriage, the film introduces a new dynamic to the horror genre, and gives it a heart and a beautifully low key aesthetic. Ragsdale's score matches the film beautifully, giving us folky strums, melancholic pianos, and eerie ambient drones in equal measure.
