I remember when I first heard this album back in 1980. It was at a college party and I was struck immediately by the tone and style of this incredible saxophonist. From the opening notes of the first cut"Hideaway" I was hooked. Sanborn plays three horns in this song and it is smokin' ! I sat by a speaker and listened to every note. It was the beginning of my introduction to Contemporary Jazz and a whole new world of music for me. Not since King Curtis have I heard such an expressive sax. You can feel the emotion in every song. This is the album to buy if you want to hear Sanborn at his best. I also recommend Voyeur and Straight to the Heart.
