The holdovers from 1988 are altoist Greg Osby (doubling on soprano), Gary Thomas (on tenor and flute) and bassist Lonnie Plaxico. The group performs ten of its leader's compositions including"It's Time to Wake Up and Dream,""Where or Wayne" and"Monk's Plumb." Unpredictable and always-stimulating music by the highly original unit.
