Brazzaville was formed by David Brown in late 1997 in Los Angeles. They have released 4 full length CDs: 2002(1998), Somnambulista(2000), Rouge On Pockmarked Cheeks(2002) and Hastings Street(2004) as well as a greatest hits CD called Welcome to Brazzaville(2004). The band is currently based in Barcelona, Spain and is hard at work on their 5th studio release. Brazzaville's music has been praised by the New York Times, The New Yorker, The LA Weekly, The LA Times, KCRW, WFMU, La Vanguardia(Barcelona), Afisha(Moscow), Bantdergi(Istanbul), Telerama(Paris), Indiepop.it(Rome), ROCK(Beijing) and many others.
