Two cats from Pat Methenys band, Paul Wertico and Steve Rodby, are part of bands which run in size from four to nine. That latter packs a punch.The approach is easy going. A few cuts challenge players creative juices, the best example being Pachelbels Canon in D: done in 6/8, the pieces solemn mood is ingeniously altered to embrace an expression of pure joy.
